Bursitis : It depends on the location of the pain. If it is on the side of the pelvis that may well be bursitis of the hip. This is often trochanteric bursitis More often the hip joint pain is felt in the groin. Your physician would be able to evaluate you and decide on the diagnosis. Therapy would include NSAIDS, physical therapy, injections, etc.

Unclear: Not enough information, where exactly is the pain? when did it start?was there an injury? What are your normal activities? The range of causes for someone your age is broad so more information is needed to make a diagnosis.

I do not know: Possible you injured your hip, or you have arthritis, or a tick bit you months ago and you have lymes, etc, etc. Without a good history and examination, theses would all be simple guesses. Best wishes.
