CANCER: It is not hereditary but the tendency to have some kind of cancer in the family.

Hard to say: There are a few "cancer families" followed by MD Anderson and other major centers. We know of some gene markers that can pass within families, but most are not. It would be best for you to ask your treatment team about the form you have & have them set up a discussion with a medical geneticist if there is an issue.
