Medical exam needed: Many infants have mild heart murmurs that are of no concern. However, the firm swelling you describe is concerning. It's not likely related to the heart murmur, since heart failure in infants doesn't usually cause leg swelling, but rather poor feeding, lethargy and breathing trouble. But leg swelling should be evaluated as soon as possible.
