Pic?: Sorry I can't see or find the attached file. His symptoms, of course, are worrisome for esophageal cancer. Was it ruled out?

Maybe achalasia: Although there is no picture to view, sounds like achalasia, or some other esophageal motility disorder such as spasm or a nutcracker espohagus. Should have upper GI contrast xray, and high resolution esophageal manmetry to make the diagnosis. Treatment should be surgical myotomy or balloon dilation. Avoid botox. Your GI doc can order tests. Hope this helps!
