?worry?: The worst issue for HFMD kids is the occasional one who develops dehydration fro not taking in enough fluids. The skin issues and fever are transient. The Texas Dept of Health does not exclude these kids from school or day care after they are fever free.

Happy it's better: No, don't worry. But do take care not to spread it. It's most contagious 1st week, but can be passed by stool and shared bathroom items. So, have all household wash hands carefully and often. Tell day care to be aware, etc. If throat is sore, cool drinks, ice cream, etc help - also child tylenol (acetaminophen) (no aspirin!). You've done well so far. Hope it's gone for good!
