A member asked:

Why would my epstein barr virus continue to be high. dont test positive for mono, it has been pn high side for over a year? is this worrisome

A doctor has provided 1 answer

EBV: If you mean your antibody titers are high this is not uncommon and may stay that way for lifetime. It also depends upon which component of the EBV the antibodies are forming to, and also whether these are IgG or IgM antibodies. These tests are not easy to interpret and in the absent of symptoms would not worry about them.
