FIre ants: The bites of fire ants can be painful and may cause the blistering as per your picture. The skin provides a natural protection for the cyst and if not in pain, you can let the area simply rupture on its own and drain naturally. If painful, the I&D of the cyst should be done steriley by a trained health care provider to prevent infection. Best wishes.

Probably not: Try applying ice, 15 min on and 30-60 min off. Usually best to avoid draining them as this may introduce infection. Ok to take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Advil as needed for pain and itching. If no better in few days or worsen, see your doctor. Good luck!

Not to start: Blister keeps the damaged skin undr it strile. Once they pop on their own would remove the dead skin and apply an ointment like neosporin or silverdene till healed.

The material in: the blister is not infectious in nature. You can apply a poultice made of 2 parts baking soda and 1 part water. Do not break the blister open.
