Concerning finding: An irregular, rapid heartbeat can be a transient, normal finding- if it persists or if the child has low oxygen levels and respiratory problems, look for metabolic disorders, long qt syndrome, structural heart disease, or possibly a toxic effect of medication mom got during labor.
