Psa normal: Not all prostate cancers express PSA. Therefore, someone can have a prostate cancer but still have a normal PSA. I have heard estimates as high as 5-10% of prostate cancers do not express PSA. This is one of the reasons why a prostate exam should be done in addition to a PSA test for screening. At stage 3, he should proceed for further evaluation and treatment.
