Specializes in Psychiatry

Reality distortion: Depersonalization is the feeling that you are not personally involved in your current situation or that you are not personally present in your environment. Treatment depends on the cause. In a psychotic syndrome antipsychotic medications may be used. If related to a traumatic situation may be part of a therapeutic strategy. Please consult a psychiatrist and/or therapist for evaluation.
