Here's theDifference: Depersonalization focuses on one’s sense of self. The person feels like they are detached from themselves, robot like, invisible. On the other hand, derealization focuses on one’s sense of one's surroundings. People who suffer from derealization feel like they are in a dream-like state where the environment seems unreal, foggy or hazy.
