Start on the outside: If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your physician. No over-the-counter pill will help you. If your acne is producing scars or is on your trunk, your physician will probably add at least one systemic medication, perhaps an antibiotic. If your acne is severe, consider isotretinoin if you're brave enough -- most folks are very pleased.
