Common: Hi. Idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism is the most common form of hypogonadism diagnosed in adult men. For reasons we can't identify (i.e., it's idiopathic), the hypothalamus and/or pituitary fail to make LH & FSH adequately (i.e., hypogonadotropic) to drive the testicles normally, and as a result, testosterone is low (i.e., hypogonadism).

Idiopathic means: Idiopathic in medicine means that there is no discoverable cause for you developing deficiency of the hormones from the pituitary gland that stimulate the gonads, they are called lh and fsh. If you develop deficiencies at a later age you do have to be investigated by an endocrinologist because all causes have to be excluded to be called idiopathic.
