A member asked:

What do you suggest if my child who has had a bilateral lung transplant has been diagnosed with a new superbug in her lungs?

Need the experts: You need to be working closely with a pediatric infectious disease specialist who has expertise also in post-transplant infections. There are probably only a couple hundred of these very specialized doctors in the entire country. Certainly there are some in New York, in Boston, at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, at Johns Hopkins. Just listing East Coast as you say you are from NY.
