A member asked:

My daughter who has had a bilateral lung transplant has been diagnosed with a new superbug in her lungs. will she be okay?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lung transplant: There are various factors which will determine the prognosis in pneumonia with superbug. Some of these include the type of bug, severity of infection, concomitant lung injury (affecting the normal lung), blood pressure, oxygenation etc. Physician directly involved in her care should be able to better guide you in this regard.
