A member asked:

Can you tell me in the long run will atkins work for a non-carb addict?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: although there is some evidence that different kinds of diets may work differently, the dominant view emerging from all studies of diet is that the main issue is the number of calories you take in vs. the number of calories you put out. So, if you reduce your caloric intake and increase your exercise, ANY diet will work for you.
