Medications 4 mania: That require levels include lithium, depakote (valproic acid) & tegretol (carbamazepine). All others (including atypical antipsychotics like abilify, (aripiprazole) zyprexa, risperdal as well as typical anti psychotics like haloperidol) dont us. require levels. If a med that requires levels (like Li) ultimately does work best 4 u, u may decide to stay with it. Work closely w ur MD 2 find the best med regimen 4 u
