What do you suggest if my doctor says i have very early signs of glaucoma?

Glaucoma: should be treated immediately. Preserving the nerve and the nerve fiber layer is essential in the prevention of vision/field loss from glaucoma. If the doctor suggests you have the potential for glaucoma, then frequent follow-ups will help determine if the decompensation of the nerve is occurring. Again, frequent follow-ups with appropriate testing is highly recommended.

Follow-up: The good news is that if you've been recently diagnosed with early glaucoma that is the best time to be diagnosed. The earlier the diagnosis, the easier it is to treat. The best thing that you can do is follow your doctor's recommendations on the treatment method and continue to follow up as appropriate determined by your doctor. Communicate with your doctor at anytime if there's a problem.
