Specializes in Pediatrics

Followup With Doctor: Your child's age is unknown. Condylar Resorption affects the mandible (lower jaw bone) causing a decrease in its size/shape resulting in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction. It can lead to facial asymmetry, bite disorders, & more. Rheumatoid Arthritis, & Lupus are causes but it can occur with no identifiable cause. Treatment includes surgery. See your doctor for further evaluation & treatment.
