Ask the dentist: Unless there has been a facial injury, dental issues, or noticible changes to the facial structure, new films may not be indicated. You should discuss this with the ordering dentist to understand if and why new films are needed.

2 things: 1) Clear Aligners are only about 1/2 as effective as braces and cost more. Please review treatment with a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist. 2) Ask why the new x-ray is needed. It may be a different type of film, revealing different information.

Get braces: Would STRONGLY recommend against invislaign for a kid-- great for adults who qualify but a myriad of reasons why, for a kid, I'd use braces (and this comes from a invisalign preffered provider!). Regarding the x-ray, ask why but realize that digital x-rays these days have extremely low levels of radiation-- often equal to an hour of 2 in the sun.
