Confusing question!: If your son's surgery was successful, he may have been released by the cardiac surgeon and cardiologist. If not, you should schedule a follow-up visit with the cardiologist. Otherwise, I would discuss your concerns with your pediatrician - poor growth and poor exercise tolerance are signs that the VSD repair may have failed.
