Dr. Johanna Fricke answered

Specializes in Pediatrics - Developmental and Behavioral

Prognosis depends : on type, size & location of brain injury , severity & extent of lack of coordination & hypotonia - low muscle tone, co-existing conditions - Intellectual Disability, Seizures, impaired vision &/or hearing, & enrollment in Early Intervention Therapies. MRI of the brain, genetic testing - Chromosomal Microarray, physical & neurological exams are all needed to try to predict level of function.
