Go for it: Medical treatment of kidney stones will usually disappoint you. I'm sorry somebody characterized lithotripsy as "blasting." It's saved many people's lives and many more a tremendous amount of pain.

Uric acid: Hello, the only type of kidney stone that can be dissolved with prescription medication is uric acid stone. 4 out of 5 stones are calcium and not dissolvable. They can only pass spontaneously or removed by minimally invasive surgery or "blasted"as you say by lithotripsy. The option will depend on size, location & other factors. Listen to your doctor's advice.Good luck to you.
