Diabetic retinopathy: Diabetic retinopathy is due to new abnormal blood vessels growing in the retina. It is a chronic condition that can be managed by anti-angiogenic injections if needed, strict diet control (low or no carb diet), laser if needed. It is able to be controlled in many situations.
