8.2=316: 8.2 mmol/l = 316 mg/dl. This is high. However, we don't know if it's bad without breaking it down to the "good" (HDL) and "bad (LDL) fractions. For instance, if you have an HDL of 100 (2.59), it may not be bad. Moreover, cholesterol is only one risk factor. To understand your risk in context, one must review the big picture: smoking status, diabetes?,HTN?, Family history?
