I am not expert: but you can try relaxation therapies and biofeedback. See if there are any psychologist in your region that offer such a service. There lies the problem, some just will not offer such services due to difficulty getting paid by insurance (at least that is the case in my region).

Psychotherapy.: CBT(Cognitive Behavior Therapy) is a good way to handle anxiety but it may take longer. There are "natural" compounds also used like B Complex, Niacin, Magnesium, Tryptophan, Passion Flower, Brahmin (Bacopa), Ashwaganda, L-Theanine and GABA if you don't want to use prescription drugs.

Generalized anxiety : One of the questions is whether generalized anxiety is a part of Generalized anxiety disorder or not. Generally speaking , non pharmacological treatments include various forms of psychotherapy , including CBT, which specifically addresses cognitions ( the way you perceive anxiety) , avoidance ( how people tend to get out of situations that cause them anxiety) and worrying in general

Traditionally CBT: CBT would be a traditional non pharmacologic approach with good evidence for effectiveness and sustained response. Other forms of talk therapy may also be useful. Newer treatments can also be helpful, TMS off-label, neurofeedback, CES, etc. and good stress management and self-care (exercise, rest, social support, diet, etc.).
