When is diabetes a disability under the ada?

Dr. Emily Lu answered

Case by case: In general, diabetes is a disability under the ada when it limits one or more of a person's major life activities, has done so in the past, or a person with diabetes is being discriminated against with the assumption that they cannot perform certain activities. See the equal employment opportunity commission website for more: http://www.Eeoc.Gov/facts/diabetes.Html.

Complications: Diabetes should not fall under ada guideliness unless the complications have taken you there, . On the other hand if you feel discriminated because you have diabetes then the ada act might help you to overcome that hurdle.
