Be family: I'm sorry about your stepmother. There are some uncommon forms of pancreatic cancer that are often manageable, but the common form usually is only palliable. If the latter, this is a time for closure, for sharing what good times are possible, for providing care when things become difficult, to forgive as required, and to try to brighten her life.
