Cause of UTI: Try and figure out the infection that is causing the urinary tract infection by taking a clean catch urine sample. Once the infection is known, specific therapy aimed at that infection can be started.

Call doctor treating: your child and discuss with them, Is the child on antibiotics? Was the UTI diagnosed by the doctor? If the infant is worse go to ER. If the child is under 3 months old go to ER now.
