A member asked:

Can you tell me if it's common with bells palsy for the affected side of your face and neck to ache?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The muscles are strained. But if it persists, and the Bell's is not improving with steroids, or time, I recommend an MRI. I've seen too many misdiagnosed Bells palsies in my practice. Best of luck
