Call you physician: Check a pregnancy test even if you are sterilized and if negative call your physician or even better gynecologist and see if he/she can prescribe provera (medroxyprogesterone) for 10 days (10mg). You're at the age where you won't ovulate every month and will skip cycles or have irregular bleeding.

Pregnancy?: First, check a pregnancy test as this is one of the most common causes of a missed period. If you are not pregnant, you may have had a month of anovulation. Since you are 45 this can happen more frequently as you approach menopause. You will probably resume ovulating next month. But don't be surprised if this happens occasionally. Best wishes!
