May be unrelated: Calcium deposits in the intervertebral discs are usually a sign of degenerative changes in the structure of the disc. They do not produce pain, Sometimes the calcium can multiply and cause disc herniation. This causes nerve pain and would require treatment. Primarily this is a chronic degenerative change. For severe symptoms see your doctor
