Stay dry: If you return to swimming too early can prolong the infection. So we don't recommend it. If you absolutely need to get back in the water, check with your MD to see if wearing ear plugs is a good alternative for your specific case

External otots: You can swim after 5 days but the infection may come back. You can put you torso in the water but do not get the head or ear wet for a few more days . Keep putting the drops in the ear as prescribed. Is there any packing in the ear? Fell better and good luck!
