Need further testing: The liver size is normal. Increased echotexture may be seen with a wide range of liver diseases. However, most commonly it is secondary to fatty infiltration. While often this is incidental and of no consequence, it may lead to diminished liver function. The echogenic foci may reflect the underlying liver disease, or an incidental calcium deposit due to a prior event such as infection, injury, etc
