Possible side effects of alphagan (brimonidine)?

4 doctors weighed in across 3 answers

Eye redness: Alphagan (brimonidine) has limited systemic absorption. The only prominent side effect is stinging on application of the drop and redness of the eyes which occurs in about 15-20% of users. It is a useful anti-glaucoma drop usually prescribed in association with other drops for the same purpose.
