Is tramadol habit forming/addicting?

Yes: People can get addicted to tramadol, psychologically and physiologically. It isn't quite the same as opiates like Demerol, (meperidine hydrochloride) Percocet, Morphine, heroin, etc. but requires caution. However, when pain medications are used properly under the care of a responsible doc, with someone without a predisposition to addiction, people generally don't get addicted.
