I am going to check my lipid profile test. laboratory says it requires 12hours fasting.can i perform blood sugar level test with same sample of 12h fasting or i was reading on net 8 hours of fasting is required for glucose level test or must be 8h?

Same sample: The same 12-hour fasting sample works for Lipid Profile testing and Fasting Blood Glucose testing. Usually, a 10-hour fast is adequate for either test but a patient should follow his doctor's or the lab's instructions.
