Can hashimoto's encephalopathy cause hyperosmia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hyperosmia: Hyperosmia is a hightened sense of smell. Most people with encephalitis have a decrease in smell (hypo-osmia). You need to have the radiologist check the last imaging study to ensure there are no masses in the olfactory tracts. PDT of the time this information in on the readings. Check with you ENT and they can look at the CT or MRI as well. Good luck and feel better!
