Does infection in the jaw cause hashimotos?

No: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune inflammation of the thyroid gland. It is not an infection. An infection of the jaw could spread to the thyroid gland causing a bacterial thyroiditis, but this is exceedingly rare.
