Wean, Taper: How often you have been taking it, and the daily dose will have an effect. In general, taper off over a 6-8 week period to minimize any withdrawal effects. Work with your doctor to devise the best schedule, and to see if any other medication might be helpful for anxiety.

Work with dr: You need to get off of it by working closely with your prescribing doctor. Definitely do not stop abruptly.

You need to : wean off slowly under the supervision of your doctor. Depending on daily dose it could take weeks to months to wean off.
