I have sjogren's and severe lupus, and was just diagnosed w/ ibs. (n.b.: now i also can't tolerate dairy even if lactose-free.) any diet advice?

Milk not essential: Milk is not an essential part of the diet and avoidance is the best. I don't know if you are allergic to dairy but if you wish to find out, you'd consult an allergist. Many people allergic to milk can tolerate cooked milk however. Looks like you have your hands full.

Autoimmune diseases : Please make sure you are tested for Celiac disease as there is higher likelihood of this condition in people with other autoimmune problems
