Can moxifloxacin treat trichomoniasis infections?

No: Fluorinated quinolones like Moxifloxacin do not generally have activity against protozoans like trichomonas. Metronidazole is usually the therapy of choice.

No, it cannot...: The drug of choice for trichomonas infection is metronidazole or tinidazole by mouth. Moxifloxacin is anti-bacterial agent not anti-protozoan. So, don't use it for trich, More? Ask Doc timely.
