Hep C quick info: Hepatitis C is a disease that harms the liver and can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure. Caused by a virus spread from person to person through contact with blood via sharing drug needles or having sex. Can be treated successfully. You can still hug, kiss but it can be spread through sex. Hep C can last for years. Avoid alcohol, get Hep B and A vaccines and check with PCP on treatment.
