Ask your MD: You need to check with your MD. A sensitivity was probably done, which will tell what antibiotics the bacteria is sensitive to.

Urine culture?: It sounds like you had a urine culture, which would tell you what antibiotics would work best against the bacteria that grew.

Most likely: When they do a urine culture, they check to make sure it is sensitive to certain antibiotics. Some are, some are not. We have no way of knowing without seeing the lab report. I'd follow you physician's advice.
