Generally speaking : You should be fine. That combination is common especially for significant anxiety. The sertraline is great for many for long term use while Xanax (alprazolam) has good short term efficacy and is good for situational anxiety and can be a good adjunct in the pm especially when just initiating treatment for anxiety.

Yes: Sertraline (Zoloft) is an SSRI used for major depression and anxiety. Alprazolam (Xanax) is a short-acting benzodiazepine useful for anxiety. Alprazolam is generally meant for short-term use (4-6 weeks). There is no known interaction between the two medications.

Yes: Yes, they are fine to take together. I do caution you to be very careful using xanax (alprazolam). It is very addictive, and should only be used for short periods of time. Are you seeing a therapist, too?
