I got same red lines in throat for months .always have thin mucus annoying all time .i always taking anihistames like zyrtec and claritin (loratadine) .what is this.can this last months?my throat never hurts .

Allergy: You possibly have Allergic Rhinitis (allergy in nose) or sinus problem which increases posterior nose discharge to throat which could irritate the throat, if oral antihistamine has not worked, talk to your provider for nose steroid spray.

ENT: Zyrtec and claritin (loratadine) are antihistamines they will not dry you out. You need a decongestant like sudafed. The red lines in your throat should probably be seen by an ENT specialist.
