You may not gain: any weight from taking nortriptyline. Monitor your food intake, hydrate well and remain physically active.

It's a side effect: There's no specific number that is ever published about any medication when listing the side effect of either weight gain or loss simply because everybody's different. Your doctor may be able to counsel you with regard to getting on a reasonable dietary modification if you are particularly worried that this medication can cause unwanted weight gain.
