Yes: Like any allergy avoidance is key. But assuming you want to be around them, antihistamines, nasal antihistamines, nasal steroids, and antileukotrienes are great options, with the last 2 being the best for preventing the symptoms. There are more and more studies showing that allergy shots to horse hair may also help. Talk to an allergist that might offer this (not all do).

Avoid horses: Generally animal allergies are managed by avoiding the offending animal. If you are obligated to have horse contact try to avoid closed spaces, especially barns and ride outside. Also, take Cetirizine (relatively non-sedating) 10 mg, 1 tab, 1 hr before contact. If you still have symptoms consult allergist who can test you and start allergy injections.
