Not at all: At first they are looking to see if it is real. X-rays are two dimensional so sometime something on skin or overlying rib shows a" nodule". Other benign nodules are also possible. So don't think cancer until you get the results of the test

Not necessarily: There could be other causes including infectious to consider. I would await the CT Scan results and then conference with your provider.
