Not necessarily: Urinary tract infections are caused by an infectious agent in the urinary system. This is usually a bacteria and usually is limited to the bladder (i.e. bladder infection). The most common symptoms are burning with urination and having to urinate frequently (or an urge to urinate). The urine is usually cloudy, a reflection of both bacteria and white cells that try to clear the infection.
